Chapter 20 - The Unbroken CircleThe winter snow returned to Connecticut once more, wrapping the Harrington estate in a quiet, magical blanket of white.

Inside, the mansion was alive with the warmth of the holiday season. A massive, perfectly decorated pine tree stood in the corner of the living room, glittering with lights, handmade paper cranes crafted by Lily, and ornaments reflecting the glow of a crackling fire in the stone fireplace.
On Christmas Eve, Daniel, Clara, and Lily gathered in the living room for traditional hot cocoa and storytime.
Lily sat nestled between them on the plush sofa, holding her worn-out stuffed rabbit in one hand while Clara read from a classic storybook, her voice rising and falling with theatrical warmth. Daniel watched them, a deep, abiding contentment settling into his soul.
He no longer saw the estate as a cold monument to corporate success or a fortress hiding dark secrets. It was a home—whole, illuminated, and filled with unshakeable love.
When the story ended, Lily yawned sleepily, rubbing her eyes before looking up at both of them. “Can we stay right here forever, Daddy? Just like this?”

Daniel exchanged a warm, knowing glance with Clara, whose eyes shone with unshed tears of pure happiness.
“Forever and always, princess,” Daniel whispered, pulling them both closer against his chest as the snow fell softly outside, sealing their family in a circle of light that nothing could ever break again.
