Chapter 7 - The Boardroom Panic

While Captain Miller stood guard over the principal and teacher, the shockwaves of the federal intervention were already hitting the higher echelons of St. Jude’s Elementary.
The heavy glass doors of the administration building swung open, and heavy footsteps echoed down the hallway. A moment later, Arthur Sterling—my corporate and legal counsel whom I had instructed to liaison with federal district representatives—walked into the conference room, accompanied by two federal magistrates.
Arthur adjusted his glasses, carrying a thick leather portfolio under his arm. He looked at Principal Vance with cool, professional disdain.
“Principal Vance, I am Arthur Sterling, legal counsel for General Carter,” Arthur announced clearly, placing a stack of legal documents directly in front of the shaking administrator. “Effective immediately, federal authorities have issued an emergency injunction freezing St. Jude’s operational accreditation pending a full civil rights and child safety audit.”
Vance gasped, lunging forward. “You can’t do that! We’re a private institution! The board of trustees—the donors—they’ll—!”
“Your donors are currently being briefed on the fact that your faculty members engage in unlawful imprisonment and physical assault of minors,” Arthur interrupted smoothly. “Furthermore, federal prosecutors have already accepted the case files regarding Mrs. Gable. She is facing felony charges of child abuse, false imprisonment, and depravity under color of authority.”
Mrs. Gable let out a blood-curdling scream and slumped forward onto the conference table, sobbing hysterically as the federal magistrates stepped forward to read her her rights.

I watched the scene with cold detachment. They thought they could hide behind private school tuition, board connections, and institutional privilege. They had underestimated what happens when a father with federal and military reach decides to dismantle a corrupt system brick by brick.
