Chapter 15 - Full Clock Speed

Winter arrived in Texas with crisp mornings, golden sunlight, and an unobstructed blue sky stretching across the Austin horizon.

I stood on the private balcony of my downtown loft, holding a mug of dark roast coffee, looking out over the city that had watched me build my life from scratch.

My phone rested silently on the patio table. There were no hidden threats, no corporate assassins testing my reflexes in the clouds, and no artificial expectations to carry.

My parents were living a peaceful, happy life in their townhouse. My brother was walking an honest, steady path. And Pinebridge Systems was operating at peak performance, processing millions of transactions daily across a secure, independent network.

I took a slow sip of my coffee, feeling the warm, rhythmic hum of absolute peace.

The past was compiled, optimized, and archived. The present was running at full clock speed.

And as I looked up into the vast, open expanse of the sky, I knew one thing with absolute certainty:

I would always know how to fly.
