Chapter 15 - Running at Full Clock Speed

Spring returned to Texas with an explosion of warm sunlight and vibrant green life, washing the downtown concrete in a golden hue.
I stood on my apartment balcony early on a Saturday morning, holding a cup of freshly brewed dark roast coffee, watching the city wake up beneath an unbroken, brilliant blue sky.
My phone buzzed on the patio table.
I picked it up. A calendar reminder popped up: Quarterly stakeholder review with Dallas Cloud Logistics.
I dismissed the notification with a casual swipe of my thumb. There was no anxiety in my chest, no frantic rush to prove myself to anyone, and no hidden burdens to carry.
My life was running at full clock speed, optimized, secure, and entirely under my own control.
